AJ Lee Recreates Photo With WWE Star Backstage After 11 Years

AJ Lee has turned back the clock by recreating a photo she clicked with a current WWE star in 2014.

The former Divas Champion returned to the Stamford promotion on the September 5 episode of SmackDown after 10 years of calling the curtains on her wrestling career.

She made her first appearance on RAW in as many years, where she addressed her comeback.

The 38-year-old explained that she felt she had accomplished everything in WWE and so, retired.

She also revealed that she went on a mental health journey, as she did not feel well at the time. During her addressal, she spoke about Becky Lynch clashing with her husband CM Punk.

Lee and Punk confronted Lynch and her husband Seth Rollins, securing a mixed tag team match at Wrestlepalooza.

Backstage, she took time to connect with “The Prodigy” Roxanne Perez, as evidenced by a viral photo of them recreating an original moment from 2014.

In 2014, AJ Lee met Perez when she was still one of the top stars in the promotion and Perez was around 13 years old.

Another Return Seemingly Confirmed After AJ Lee’s

Nikki Bella got caught into a tangle when she came across Asuka backstage on the recent RAW episode.

A match was set between the two wrestling greats, with Asuka promising to beat the respect out of Bella.

In a back-and-forth action, The Empress of Tomorrow managed to tap out the WWE Hall of Famer, much to the latter’s annoyance.

As the camera panned away from her, Nikki was heard saying, “Wait till my girl comes back.”

Ever since AJ Lee has returned, there have been reports of other former WWE wrestlers returning to the promotion, including Nikki’s sister Brie Bella.

In the meantime, Nikki has found herself an ally in ‘The Eradicator’ Rhea Ripley.
