AJ Lee’s Return Match Officially Announced For WWE Wrestlepalooza
AJ Lee will officially return to the ring at WWE Wrestlepalooza.
At Clash in Paris, Becky Lynch interfered in the World Heavyweight Championship match to cost CM Punk and allow her husband, Seth Rollins, to retain his title. The Man later confronted The Second City Saint on Monday Night RAW. Not only did she insult the 46-year-old legend, but she also slapped him across the face several times.
After vowing to make her regret putting her hands on him, Punk once again stood face-to-face with Lynch last Friday on SmackDown. He gave her the chance to step aside and remove herself from his feud with her husband. The Man responded by slapping the former World Heavyweight Champion again.
After Punk left the ring, he told Lynch that although he would not hit a woman, he knew someone who would, giving the cue for AJ Lee’s shocking comeback. The Black Widow attacked the Women’s Intercontinental Champion, forcing her to retreat alongside The Visionary.
AJ Lee & CM Punk Will Face Becky Lynch & Seth Rollins At WWE Wrestlepalooza
The three-time Divas Champion made her return to RAW tonight for the first time in 10 years. She made her entrance wearing Becky Lynch’s Women’s Intercontinental Title, which she took after attacking The Man on SmackDown.
After receiving a huge ovation from the crowd, Lee introduced herself for those who were not watching WWE a decade ago. She said she was their “favorite wrestlers’ favorite wrestler.” The Black Widow added that she retired 10 years ago and apologized to the fans. She said she thought she accomplished everything and was sure she would never return to the ring again.
Lee continued that she had since gone on a journey to accomplish other things, most importantly, she went on a mental health journey because she wasn’t healthy and needed to get right. She revealed that she went to therapy, got treatment, and found a way to turn her mental chaos into her superpower. She pointed out that although the fight was not easy, it was worth it.
The former Divas Champion then shifted to wrestling, saying she watched Monday Night RAW. She noted that it was one thing to see her husband fight Drew McIntyre, John Cena, and Seth Rollins, but it was another thing entirely to watch him in the ring with Becky Lynch. The 38-year-old claimed she wanted to like Lynch, dubbing her a leader. She also highlighted that The Man was a New York Times best-selling author, noting that she did it first. Lee stated that there was a world in which she and Lynch could have been friends. But then she motorboated her husband and put her hands on him.
The former Divas Champion was interrupted by Lynch, who told her that this had nothing to do with CM Punk, pointing out that Lee was wearing her Women’s Intercontinental Championship. The returning star challenged The Man to come into the ring and take the belt. However, Lynch did not. Instead, she brought out her spouse, Seth Rollins.
The Visionary told Lee that they would make it simple, and she would give his wife her title back. The former Divas Champion responded by giving them two options to get the belt back: either Lynch go into the ring and risk getting another black eye, or they accept a mixed tag team match against her and CM Punk.
Rollins told Lee that she did not call the shots, but he did as the World Heavyweight Champion. He informed her that he would get into the ring, take the title, and give it back to his wife. As he attempted to do that, Lee got into his face and stopped him from grabbing the championship.

CM Punk then quietly walked behind Lynch, pumped into her, then got into the ring and attempted to GTS Rollins. The latter, nevertheless, escaped and retreated. The Visionary then accepted the tag team match at Wrestlepalooza.
