AEW Star In Worrying Injury Scare On Dynamite

Undisputed Kingdom AEW

AEW star Wardlow has broken his silence after apparently suffering an injury on Dynamite and it might yet be worse than he wants people to think.

On Dynamite in New Orleans, Wardlow looked to take another step towards getting a shot at the AEW World Championship as he took on Komander. The high-flying luchador took the attack to Mr. Mayhem’s knee early on and while Wardlow sold the attacks, it wasn’t until he delivered a powerbomb later on that his knee appeared to give out for real causing some concern.

Taking to social media, Wardlow noted that for a normal man, their knee would be blown out but The Undisputed Kingdom’s muscle is no normal man:

A normal man’s knee would be ruined. I’m no normal man. I’m still coming for the heavyweight title. And there’s nothing and no one that can stop me. Knee is just fine #AEWDynamite

Wardlow’s Knee To Be Looked At Following AEW Dynamite

However, the issue was discussed on Wrestling Observer Radio by Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez with Meltzer noting that he’d heard the star was hurt. Alvarez gave more details on the situation, saying:

What I was told was he’s getting checked out tomorrow. They think it’s possibly a torn meniscus, but that he dodged a bullet, it wasn’t much worse and he’ll probably be alright. But he definitely is not ‘fine’. Something went wrong and he is being looked at tomorrow.

Currently, the AEW injured list contains names such as MJF, Kenny Omega, Adam Cole, Rey Fenix, Jamie Hayter, and Kyle O’Reilly.

AEW Dynamite saw a big number one contender’s match made and it has also been revealed that Tony Khan has yet another big announcement to make on the 7th of February edition of the show.
