AEW Star Says “It’s A Matter Of Time” Before CM Punk vs. Kenny Omega

CM Punk Kenny Omega

Mark Henry believes that a CM Punk vs. Kenny Omega match is still a possibility.

Currently, Punk and Omega still appear to not be on speaking terms following the events that took place at All Out 2022. Despite both wrestlers being back in AEW since June, they have not been in the same room together yet alone the same ring. With some thinking that the singles match is not a possibility, one veteran of the ring believes in the expression that time heals all wounds.

Appearing on The Torg & Elliot Show, Mark Henry is one of many fans that want to see the first time-ever encounter and believes it will still happen at some point.

With the appropriate creative required to get the two former World Champions to have a one-on-one match, Henry has a scenario that he feels would work. The Hall of Famer believes that each wrestler’s desire to climb to the top of the mountain in AEW would be enough to get Punk and Omega to face off, having the two wrestlers meet via chance in the brackets instead of trying to inorganically set up a rivalry:

“I want to see it too. It’s just a matter of time. You let things iron themselves out, and you see where things lead to. Could you imagine an AEW tournament for the World Title and on one side of the bracket, to go to the finals, you have Kenny Omega and CM Punk meet up against each other? It would be incredible,”

Who Are CM Punk & Kenny Omega Wrestling Against At AEW All In?

With Punk confirmed to be facing Samoa Joe inside Wembley Stadium, Omega is still without an opponent for the historic AEW show. The Best Bout Machine is expected to be at both All In and All Out, with a rumoured six-man tag team match scheduled for August 27th. If reports are to be believed, Omega will team with “Hangman” Adam Page and Kota Ibushi to take on Jay White, Juice Robinson, and Konosuke Takeshita.
