AEW’s final pay-per-view of 2022 has been announced with Full Gear set to take place on Saturday, November 19th.

Full Gear has been an annual AEW pay-per-view since the company’s debut year in 2019 with the show taking place in November every time.

During the All Out pay-per-view event at the Now Arena in Chicago, a commercial aired promoting Full Gear while announcing that it will take place at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey on Saturday, November 19th. Tickets go on sale for Full Gear on September 23rd.

The main reason why it’s a Saturday event is because AEW President Tony Khan’s family owns the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars, so AEW runs Saturday shows to avoid the heavy NFL schedule on Sundays during the NFL season.

The first Full Gear event in 2019 featured Jon Moxley vs. Kenny Omega in an unsanctioned Lights Out match as the main event. The 2020 edition of Full Gear took place in front of a small crowd due to the COVID-19 pandemic and saw Jon Moxley face Eddie Kingston in an “I Quit” match in the main event. In 2021 at Full Gear in Minneapolis, “Hangman” Adam Page defeated Kenny Omega to become the AEW World Champion for the first time.

In the build-up to Full Gear in Newark, AEW will also hold their biggest episode of Dynamite and Rampage on Wednesday, September 21 at the Arthur Ashe Stadium in Queens, New York.

While no matches have been announced yet for Full Gear, CM Punk won the AEW World Title from Jon Moxley in the main event of All Out. After the match, The Joker that won the Casino Ladder Match earlier in the show revealed himself to be Maxwell Jacob Friedman. By winning the Casino Ladder Match, MJF has earned a match for the AEW World Title. That led to MJF going onto the stage, staring at Punk from a distance and motioning that he wants the belt. It’s possible that AEW may do Punk vs. MJF at Full Gear unless they choose to do it before that.
