AEW Announcer Forced To Leave Dynamite

Excalibur Jim Ross Tony Schiavone AEW

One AEW announcer was forced to abandon his post on Dynamite and he has now revealed the reason why.

AEW Dynamite took place in Buffalo, New York on the 26th of June as the company hurtles towards Forbidden Door. That show now has another huge match as The Elite will be part of a huge trios match that will see Kazuchika Okada go face-to-face with an old rival.

Swerve Strickland and Will Ospreay will clash for the AEW World Title at Forbidden Door but on Dynamite they teamed up to take on The Gates of Agony. Ospreay won the match with his Hidden Blade and afterwards took the AEW World Title from Strickland leading the champion to nail Ospreay with a House Call for his trouble.

The Owen Hart Foundation Men’s Tournament continued on the show with Jay White advancing to the semi-finals at the expense of Rey Fenix. White will now face the winner of the match between Jeff Jarrett and an unknown wild card entrant.

AEW Announcer Loses Voice

Fans watching the show might have noticed a change at the announce table during the show as Dynamite started with the usual trio of Excalibur, Taz, and Tony Schiavone on the call. However, Schiavone was forced to abandon ship leaving Excalibur and Taz to call the show themselves and now taking to social media the former voice of WCW has revealed why he had to go:

Lost my voice. It was giving me problems all weekend. Thanks for asking.

Schiavone is normally on announce duties for Collision as well but with that being taped immediately after Dynamite, it doesn’t seem he’ll be heard on Saturday’s edition of the show.
