2 Major AEW Stars Express Dissatisfaction With Current Status

Toni Storm blur AEW logo

Two AEW talents have expressed unhappiness over less screen time.

Queen Aminata and Deonna Purrazzo took to X to put forth their grievance for the promotion to see.

On September 20 at Collision, Aminata competed in an 8-woman Tag Team Tailgate Brawl, teaming with Harley Cameron, Willow Nightingale, and Mina Shirakawa to face Megan Bayne, Penelope Ford, Julia Hart, and Skye Blue.

Purrazzo, meanwhile, has been active in AEW’s sister company, Ring of Honor, and the indies, with her last appearance coming on September 11 in a singles match against Viva Van.

Tweeting first, Queen Aminata wished to get more promo time as well as be featured in mixed tag team matches, which have seen an increase in numbers over time.

Purrazzo commented on the original post, writing, “Sign me up too…”

Whether or not Tony Khan grants the wrestlers their wish, considering AEW’s latest development, remains to be seen.

AEW Introduces Women’s Tag Team Belts

For months, there had been rumors about AEW introducing Women’s Tag Team Championships.

Tony Khan had also teased a special announcement, which came in the form of the new belts. Renee Paquette unveiled the gold at ringside.

While no tournament or match has currently been announced, the unveiling of the title aligns with the upcoming Blood & Guts event on November 12.

The show will also feature the first women’s Blood & Guts match.

Should AEW start a tag team tournament to decide its inaugural winners, Queen Aminata and Deonna Purrazzo may find slots, too.

Elsewhere, Aminata recently broker her silence over dating rumors.
