Frustrated AEW Star Takes Indie Booking

An absent AEW star will be heading to House of Glory.

Deonna Purrazzo hasn’t wrestled on AEW television since beating Harley Cameron on the February 26 edition of Dynamite. More surprisingly, that match was just one of three times Purrazzo has wrestled for the company in 2025.

Ahead of the May 28 edition of Dynamite, Purrazzo poked fun at her absence, joking with a fan that she might appear on the show during an ad break.

The comment came after it was reported in March that AEW had no plans for Deonna Purrazzo or her tag team partner Taya Valkyrie. However, that report did note that Purrazzo had made several pitches, but they hadn’t been used.

That, in turn, came after the former TNA star admitted she was frustrated at her lack of action for the company.

Deonna Purrazzo Looking Beyond AEW

As her AEW absence continues, it’s been announced that Purrazzo will face Karissa Rivera at Mike Santana & House of Glory’s Puerto Rican Weekend on June 7 in New York. Rivera, better known to fans as Elektra Lopez, will be making her first in-ring appearance since being released by WWE back in February.

Purrazzo has taken several independent bookings while appearing in Ring of Honor as she waits for an opportunity on Dynamite or Collision.
