Cody Rhodes Lands Role In Classic Movie Reboot

Cody Rhodes has secured a new movie role.

As reported by Deadline, Cody Rhodes will be joining the cast of the as-yet-untitled Naked Gun reboot. According to the report, Rhodes has been added to the project along with Liza Koshy, CCH Pounder, and Busta Rhymes.

Although there’s no word on exactly what roles the quartet will be playing, Rhodes will reportedly be making a cameo.

It had previously been reported that Liam Neeson, Pamela Anderson, Paul Walter Hauser, Kevin Durand, and Danny Huston would take starring roles with Neeson playing Detective Frank Drebin.

The Naked Gun franchise launched in 1988 with the premiere of The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad! and two more films followed in 1991 and 1994.

Meanwhile, away from Hollywood, Cody Rhodes is set to defend his Undisputed WWE Championship against Logan Paul at King & Queen of the Ring. Despite initial confusion around the match after WWE appeared to reveal Paul’s United States Title would also be up for grabs, it’s been confirmed only Rhodes’ title will be on the line.

It’s been announced that the winners of the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments will receive a World Title shot at SummerSlam. The finals of both tournaments will take place in Saudi Arabia on May 25th.
