Zack Sabre Jr. Says Bryan Danielson “Chickened Out,” Wants WrestleDream Rematch
Zack Sabre Jr. wants to face Bryan Danielson again after being defeated at WrestleDream.
WrestleDream saw Bryan Danielson take on Zack Sabre Jr. in a highly-praised dream match. Both men are hailed as two of the best technical wrestlers in the world, and the bout saw plenty of submissions traded. However, in the end, it was two running knees to Sabre Jr. that earned Danielson the pinfall victory.
Bryan Danielson cut an emotional promo after the bout, admitting that Zack Sabre Jr. might indeed be the best technical wrestler in the world while insisting that he has more heart and Sabre Jr. can’t stand up to his strikes.
“I Want My Rematch” – Zack Sabre Jr. To Bryan Danielson
Following his defeat, Zack Sabre Jr. also cut an emotional promo backstage, declaring that he wants a rematch with Danielson – but this time he wants the bout to take place on his home turf.
“Luckily I’ve got the jaw line of Antonio Inoki along with the spirit of strong style, so I’m fine. Don’t you worry about me. I might have gotten knocked out but I’ll keep going. Bryan, Bryan, I happily admitted that you’re one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. You’ve been the best in the world for what? Over two decades? I wrestled you in 2008; you put me on the map. For that I’ll be eternally grateful.
“But today, today, darling, we were supposed to settle something, weren’t we? Who really is the best technical wrestler, not in the world right now, but probably of all bloody time? But knocking me out Bryan, that’s a scoundrel move from Brittle Bryan. I felt your bones disintegrating in my hands, Bryan.
“So I want my rematch, because this proved nothing. And we’re going to do the rematch in my home turf, England, or my adopted home turf of Japan. Because I did do the solid mate, didn’t I? Did do the proper solid to come to Seattle, submissions in Seattle. But you didn’t beat me by submission. You chickened out. You chickened out and used your knees. Well, Bryan, we’ll find out in the rematch who the best technical wrestler in the world is, and I’ll put you into retirement for good d*ckhead.”
