Update On Young Bucks Reaching Out To WWE
A new report has been made about The Young Bucks reaching out to WWE.
In case you missed it, Ryan Frederick of the Wrestling Observer reported that Matt and Nick Jackson of The Young Bucks sent out ‘feelers’ to those within WWE about the company’s potential interest in the pair once they’re out of their AEW deals, which are believed to be expiring in January 2024.
While top AEW talent reaching out to WWE certainly sounds like massive news, Frederick believes it’s a non-story due to the Jackson brothers seemingly are just maximizing leverage for contract negotiations once 2024 rolls around.
In an update provided by Fightful Select, it appears as if there may be more than meets the eye. Per the report, sources within WWE indicated that The Bucks requested to speak to someone in WWE’s management team, however, Fightful also notes that some close to the former AEW Tag Team Champions claim that isn’t the case and pondered who The Elite members would have even reached out to in WWE.
In case you missed it, The Bucks were involved in a physical altercation alongside Kenny Omega, CM Punk, and other AEW personnel and talent following Punk’s disparaging remarks about The Elite following the All Out pay-per-view during the event’s post-show media scrum. Matt and Nick Jackson, in addition to Kenny Omega and CM Punk were suspended for their participation in the brawl and all four were stripped of their respective titles, all of which were won at the aforementioned pay-per-view that very same night.
