WWE x AAA Worlds Collide To Return In September
WWE has announced the return of Worlds Collide.
During Triplemania XXXIII, it was announced that WWE x AAA Worlds Collide will take place on September 12. The event will take place at the The Pavilion at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.
The event will air directly following SmackDown, although there was no comment on where it would be broadcast.
The most recent Worlds Collide event took place during Money In The Bank weekend in June.
On August 15, it was reported that WWE was planning another show with AAA in the United States before the end of 2025.
Heavy WWE Presence At AAA Triplemania XXXIII
Several WWE Superstars were in action at Triplemania, with Dragon Lee, Dominik Mysterio, and El Grande Americano all taking part in a four-way main event for the Mega Championship with El Hijo Del Vikingo. In the end, Vikingo retained the gold after AJ Styles made a surprise appearance to cost Mysterio.
Meanwhile, earlier in the night, Natalya failed to win the Reina de Reinas Title, and Judgment Day beat Lola Vice, Mr. Iguana & Nino Hamburguesa. There wasn’t as much good news for Angel and Berto, who lost the AAA World Tag Team Championship to Pagano and Psycho Clown.
Triplemania also saw the returns to action of both Omos and Otis, who featured in the Copa Bardahl Cibernetico Match. While Otis had been out injured, eventual winner Omos had been missing since being recalled from a spell in Japan back in January.
Ahead of the event, Triple H addressed the AAA roster backstage, flanked by Nick Khan, Shawn Michaels, and Dorian Roldan. In the speech, he again promised that WWE wasn’t looking to change AAA; instead, the only goal is to make the promotion as big as possible.
“I want to make sure everyone understands that we’re not here to change this. We’re not here to take this over. We’re not here to make it something different. We’re here to do this with you, to enhance what you do, and make it grow beyond anybody’s wildest dreams. Let’s take on this tonight and build on it from here.
All you guys have been doing it now, we’re going to do it together, so let’s turn this into the biggest thing we can possibly think of, let’s dream big and go to work to make this everything we want it to be.”
At the start of the show, Triple H, Nick Khan, Shawn Michaels, Dorian Roldan, Marisela Pena, and Fillip Executive Chairman Alberto Fasja all appeared in the ring for the opening ceremony as the Mexican national anthem was sung.
