WWE Bring In Writer For Bray Wyatt Amid Continued Absence

Bray Wyatt

Bray Wyatt has been out of action since February 2023, missing out on WrestleMania 39 despite a planned program with Bobby Lashley for the Los Angeles show.

That program was abandoned after one interaction between the two men on television with Lashley relegated to winning the Andre The Giant Battle Royal on the SmackDown before WrestleMania 39.

Wyatt’s status with the company has been the subject of much speculation ever since however, it seems that Wyatt has been battling an unspecified illness. The newest report on the former WWE Champion suggests he’s looking forward to getting back to the ring, although a timeframe for that is still unknown.

Speaking on his Oh You Didn’t Know podcast, WWE executive Road Dogg noted that a new writer has been brought on board by the company to work with Wyatt:

“We have a new writer, actually, for Bray now. So we’ll see how all of that unfolds down the road.”

Bray Wyatt has only competed in one televised match in WWE since he returned to the company at Extreme Rules in October 2022. That came at the 2023 Royal Rumble when he defeated LA Knight in a unique Pitch Black bout. That was his first match in the company since WrestleMania 37 when he was defeated by Randy Orton.
