WWE WrestleMania 42 No Longer Taking Place In New Orleans

WWE legend The Rock

WWE WrestleMania 42 is on the move.

On the February 21 episode of SmackDown, The Rock made a special appearance to announce that WrestleMania 42 in 2026 would be held at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana.

The event was scheduled to take place on April 11 and April 12.

However, according to a report, plans have changed in a big way.

Changes Made To WWE WrestleMania 42

Despite that loud and proud announcement from The Rock on SmackDown, it’s now being reported that WrestleMania 42 won’t be taking place in New Orleans after all.

According to a report from Wrestlenomics, the host city for the event is once again a mystery. The report notes that New Orleans will now host Money In The Bank 2026 instead. There’s no date listed for the event, but it usually takes place in June or July.

In a statement issued by the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation, it was claimed that WrestleMania in the city will be rescheduled.

“The Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation and New Orleans & Company are working closely with our friends at TKO to expand our long-standing partnership, which will include UFC 318 on July 19, 2025, Money In The Bank in 2026, and WrestleMania – which will move from the currently scheduled 2026 timeframe to a future year.”

The reasons for the change are unclear at this time, and WWE has yet to respond to the report.
