WWE World Title Match Added To Money In The Bank
Seth Rollins claimed the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Night of Champions when he defeated AJ Styles for the new title and now a new challenger awaits The Visionary.
Rollins has already had one televised defense of his title, that coming on the 5th of June edition of Raw against The Judgment Day’s Damien Priest. On Raw in Wichita, Kansas, it was another Judgment Day member’s turn to issue their challenge to Rollins.
Finn Balor was the first-ever Universal Champion in WWE history, winning that title just a few short weeks after being drafted to Raw from NXT. The man he beat to claim that crown at SummerSlam 2016 happened to be Seth Rollins. However, disaster struck Balor during that match as he suffered a serious injury that kept him out of action for several months and caused him to relinquish the title less than 24 hours after winning it.
All of that frustration was on show in Raw as the Irish star issued a challenge to Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Money In The Bank in London, England. Rollins took a shot at his rival, noting that in the seven years since that fateful SummerSlam match, one of them has got bitter while the other has got better.
The match was soon made official meaning that Finn Balor will get his title shot in front of a partisan European crowd on July 1st.
