WWE Working On New Cody Rhodes Documentary
More Cody Rhodes content is on the way.
Cody Rhodes has found himself at the centre of a WWE whirlwind and documentary cameras have been there to capture every second.
When Rhodes won the Royal Rumble and climbed the turnbuckle to taunt and call out Roman Reigns, it seemed for all the world the pair would meet at WrestleMania. However, just a week later, the picture looked remarkably different.
The American Nightmare introduced The Rock on the February 2nd episode of SmackDown and appeared to step aside to let the megastar challenge Reigns. The moment has caused a huge backlash on social media, and fans aren’t impressed that Rhodes’ almost 2-year story has been thrown to one side.
Interestingly, according to a new report from Fightful Select, WWE has started production on a new documentary that will serve as a follow-up to American Nightmare. Furthermore, content for the film was shot on the 2nd.
Cody Rhodes Warned WWE About Crowd Reaction
The same report also attempted to clear up the controversy around Rhodes, The Rock, Roman Reigns, and WrestleMania.
The report emphatically states that if the entire situation is a “work,” then several parties involved weren’t clued in. “Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins, CM Punk, the creative team, producers, and those around them” were not told of an elaborate work in action.
Ahead of SmackDown on February 2nd, and Cody Rhodes reportedly told WWE that he felt the reaction “wouldn’t be the desired one,” but did the segment anyway. Although, he was said to be in a somber mood after.
