WWE WrestleMania is arguably the most sought-after event every year.

Since its premiere in 1985, the show had been a one-day event until it underwent significant changes during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 2020 PPV not only took place behind closed doors, but was also held across two nights.

Ever since, that’s remained the standard pattern for “The Grandest Stage of Them All.”

WWE’s deal with Saudi Arabia is also a contributing factor to the changes the company has made in its programming.

Knowing how lucrative this partnership is and seeing how programming has evolved since 2018, speculation has emerged about the Stamford-based company’s future plans to host WrestleMania.

Recently, Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio claimed that it might organize two WrestleManias in a single year in the future.

A similar discussion took place on The Last Word podcast hosted by Jonathan Coachman.

Coachman started by claiming that the fans would push back if WrestleMania were held for four nights.

To this, a former WWE employee, Tommy Carlucci, projected one condition under which the company could run two WrestleMania shows:

Well, Coach, it’s one thing. It’s a different company, right? And it’s all about money. If the Saudis throw enough money, Nick Khan and all these other guys are gonna grab the money. I don’t wanna see a double Mania…they want money. They are selling every bit. If the Saudis throw the big money at them, you will see a double WrestleMania. [16:20 onwards]

WWE SummerSlam 2025 To Be A Two-Nighter

For the first time in its history, SummerSlam will be held across two nights in 2025, on August 2nd and 3rd.

New Jersey was announced as the host, with MetLife Stadium hosting it.

Planning for matches has been in motion for a while. The winners of the ongoing King and Queen of the Ring Tournament will get a title opportunity at SummerSlam.

Jade Cargill vs. Asuka and Randy Orton vs. Cody Rhodes will take place at Night of Champions in Riyadh, with the winners facing the respective champions.
