WWE Veteran Officially Gone From AEW
One longtime veteran’s contract with AEW has officially expired.
Vickie Guerrero joined AEW back in the summer of 2020 where she became former AEW Women’s World Champion Nyla Rose’s manager. Guerrero accompanied Rose to the ring for matches and infuriated crowds by screeching out her infamous “Excuse Me” catchphrase.
In June 2021, Vickie Guerrero also began a short-lived association with Andrade El Idolo as she welcomed him to the company. After just a few weeks, El Idolo’s association with Vickie ended when she was replaced at his side by her nephew Chavo Guerrero. However, Vickie’s association with Rose continued and she eventually became the manager for Marina Shafir as well.
Guerrero hasn’t been seen in All Elite Wrestling since February of 2023, when she was told to stay home for the remainder of her contract. She confirmed in March that her time with the company would be coming to a close, saying that she was ready to move on when her contract expired in July.
Now, a report from Fightful Select confirms that Guerrero’s contract has officially expired, making her a free agent.
Prior to her time in AEW, Guerrero was a longtime veteran in WWE, entering the company as the wife of the late Eddie Guerrero. Following Eddie’s death, she became a star in her own right, acting as SmackDown General Manager and even getting married to Edge on-screen. She also aligned herself with LayCool and Dolph Ziggler over the years, and is well known for her “Excuse me” catchphrase.
