WWE Unconcerned By Major Netflix Problems

Triple H WWE

WWE has shrugged off recent Netflix issues.

On November 15th, Jake Paul faced Mike Tyson at a fully sanctioned boxing match at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, the home of WrestleMania 32.

While the eight-round clash featuring the 58-year-old former Undisputed Heavyweight Champion wasn’t exactly one for the purists, Tyson lost out to Paul on points but crucially emerged unscathed. It’s believed the veteran earned around $20 million for his night’s work, while Paul walked away with double that figure.

Aside from the ethical concerns around the fight, huge numbers of fans were left frustrated during the event due to significant problems with Netflix, which was streaming the extravaganza. For many, the stream was of poor quality and near-constant buffering made the fight unwatchable.

This led to a huge number of comments online from WWE fans who were now somewhat nervous about what Raw would look like when it moves to Netflix on January 6th, 2025.

WWE Given Netflix Assurances

Despite the concerns from fans, it seems WWE doesn’t share their nervousness. As reported by Fightful Select, the company has been assured by Netflix that any such issues will be kept to a minimum when their partnership begins in earnest in January.

One “higher-up” noted that if they ever managed to replicate the traffic enjoyed by the Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul fight, that would be a nice problem to have. However, the report added that Netflix’s live Love is Blind finale also had significant issues.
