WWE Announce Two Title Matches For April 21 Smackdown
When SmackDown rolls into Columbus, Ohio on the 21st of April it will be a big night for several WWE Superstars with two huge title bouts set for the show.
Gunther has brought the Intercontinental Title back to some level of prominence in WWE with his reign now the fifth longest in company history. The Ring General held on to his championship at WrestleMania 39 in a critically acclaimed triple threat match against Sheamus and Drew McIntyre.
On SmackDown in Lincoln, Nebraska after Xavier Woods had defeated LA Knight, he ran into Gunther backstage. An altercation took place leading to a match being made for next week’s show where Xavier Woods will attempt to win the first singles gold of his WWE career as takes on Gunther with the Intercontinental Title on the line.
Later in the show, Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan came to the ring to celebrate winning the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship on Raw. The pair were quickly interrupted by Chelsea Green and Sonya Deville. A verbal spat soon turned physical with the champions standing tall. Morgan and Rodriguez themselves named Green and Deville as their first challengers and that match will also take place in Columbus, Ohio.
