WWE Totally On Board With AJ Lee Return

For almost ten years have been desperate to see the return of a former champion to WWE and now it seems the company is ready to welcome back AJ Lee.

AJ Lee is a former three-times WWE Divas Champion and frequently stole the show as part of the main event scene in the company in 2012 where she was an integral part of the story between CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, and Kane.

Lee was named Raw General Manager for a spell as she jilted Daniel Bryan at the altar to take up Vince McMahon’s offer of the role.

AJ Lee left WWE in 2015, having her last match in the company on the Raw after WrestleMania 31. That came over a year after her husband CM Punk had infamously walked out of WWE.

But CM Punk returned to the company at Survivor Series 2023 and that has only increased the noise from fans about what would be a very welcome return for AJ Lee.

WWE Would Welcome AJ Lee’s Return

Speaking on a Backstage Pass Q&A, WrestleVotes noted that WWE would gladly open their arms and welcome Lee back into the fold, leaving the decision of an eventual comeback entirely down to her:

As far as I know, WWE is totally on board for it. They would welcome it. She picks up the phone and she says, ‘I’m in’, they’re going to say, ‘Yes. What took so long?’ I would say the only two people that probably know that answer are AJ Lee and CM Punk and whatever that answer may be is up to them.

CM Punk has had his say on a possible return to WWE for AJ Lee but he’s very much leaving it up to her what she wants to do in the future.
