WWE To Bring Back King Of The Ring

A popular WWE event will be back very soon.

In March 2023, WWE announced that the King of the Ring, and a newly created Queen of the Ring tournament would take place at King & Queen of The Ring in Saudi Arabia. However, those plans were quickly dropped and the event was named Night of Champions.

At the event, Seth Rollins was crowned World Heavyweight Champion defeating AJ Styles in the final of a tournament to decide the inaugural champion.

Fast forward to 2024, and it’s been reported by Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, that the King of the Ring will be back on May 25th when WWE returns to Saudi Arabia.

“By the way the next pay-per-view is going to be King & Queen of the Ring, which is the Saudi show on May 25.”

The first-ever King of the Ring tournament was held back in 1985 and won by WWE Hall of Famer Don Muraco.

After a break, the King of the Ring tournament returned in 2021, with Xavier Woods winning the title at Crown Jewel. Zelina Vega won the Queen’s Crown tournament at the same event.

WWE Draft Returning Soon

The report comes after Triple H revealed that the WWE Draft will return in a “month or so.” The comments came during an appearance on Logan Paul’s Impaulsive podcast after the YouTube star asked whether he could move to Raw in time for the red brand’s switch to Netflix in January 2025.

The 2023 Draft took place between April 28th and May 1st.
