WWE Tease The Rock’s Past Coming To Haunt Him At WrestleMania

The Rock WWE

WrestleMania 40 is shaping up to be a massive event with The Rock back in the ring and it seems WWE could have even more incredible plans for Philadelphia.

The Rock will team with Roman Reigns to face Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins in the main event of night one of WrestleMania 40 with huge implications for the following night. Should Rhodes and Rollins win then The Bloodline will be banned from ringside for Cody Rhodes’ WWE Universal Title shot against Reigns.

However, if The Rock and Roman Reigns win then it will be “Bloodline Rules” for that match meaning that all the gang can get involved quite happily to try and keep the gold on The Tribal Chief.

On Raw in Chicago, The Rock sent a message to Cody Rhodes by attacking him leaving him bloodied and battered in a brutal assault. The two men fought out towards Rhodes’ bus in the parking lot and eagle-eyed viewers noticed something very interesting behind them during the melee.

WWE Drop Massive Steve Austin & John Cena Hint

WWE trucks were parked in the lot, which shouldn’t come as a great surprise, but the one clearly visible showed both Stone Cold Steve Austin and John Cena behind The Rock as he attacked Rhodes. Austin and Cena both have their history with The Rock at WrestleMania but the shot of the truck could simply be a coincidence.

However, WrestleVotes has now noted that everything is being done for a reason in WWE and that the truck featured could have been a lot more innocuous:

Everything is done on purpose. Two weeks out from WrestleMania, the backdrop of these WM ‘specific’ trucks last night would have sufficed. I’ll leave it at that…

Steve Austin returned to WrestleMania in 2022 to take on Kevin Owens in an impromptu main event with Austin picking up the win. John Cena was in action at WrestleMania 39 where he lost in a US Title match against Austin Theory.
