WWE Superstars Share Memories Of Bray Wyatt (VIDEO)
A new video has been posted by WWE featuring wrestlers in the company talking about the loss of their good friend, Bray Wyatt.
The wrestling world has been mourning the loss of former WWE & Universal Champion Bray Wyatt, whose real name is Windham Rotunda. Bray passed away due to a heart attack last Thursday at his home at the age of 36 years old.
Since then, many WWE superstars have done tributes to Bray on social media by writing their thoughts, sharing photos, and posting videos.
Last Friday at Smackdown, WWE dedicated part of the show to Bray Wyatt and WWE Hall of Famer Terry Funk, who died one day earlier last Wednesday.
A tribute video for Wyatt also aired in full on Smackdown, Raw and NXT over the last week. At each event, the lights went out so the fans could light up arenas as “fireflies” while an empty rocking chair was shown as another tribute for Bray.
There were plans for a funeral service for Bray today, but due to Hurricane Idalia, which is now a Tropical Storm, causing a lot of damage in the state of Florida, it has been pushed back to next week.
WWE Superstars Share Bray Wyatt Memories
Earlier today, WWE posted a 35-minute tribute featuring its superstars sitting down in front of a camera and pouring their hearts out talking about their late friend, Bray Wyatt. It was posted to WWE’s YouTube channel as well as other places like Facebook. Some of the people who spoke included Drew McIntyre, Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens, AJ Styles and several others.
Former WWE Raw & Smackdown Women’s Champion Bayley worked with Bray Wyatt for many years and she shared these thoughts about her friend.
“Bray, Windham, was one of the first people I met at FCW. Saraya, Paige, actually introduced me to him, and I feel like I opened a secret door to the best person, and it was like he let me in. No pun intended. He let me in, just based off that introduction because she meant so much to him. He was already with the Wyatt Family. They were on their way going to Raw and SmackDown as I was making my way into FCW and NXT. So those promo days were insane.”
“While Dusty Rhodes is talking up this group, talking up this man, and listen to his words and you could feel him just by looking at him, and you could see Bray pacing back and forth before these promo days. Super intense, super intimidating, but just breathtaking. That’s a whole different level. One in a million. He’s one in a million. Those were my first memories. As we got to know each other, he’s just a goofy guy.”
“Behind that insane, intense, beautiful, electrifying character is just a silly dude with the goofiest laugh that you could hear a mile away. Bray and Windham meant so much to everybody. I’ll miss his laugh. Thank you, Bray. We love you. I’ll miss you.”
Below are the comments of Drew McIntyre as well as ring announcer Samantha Irvin singing “He’s Got The Whole World In His Hands” which is a song associated with Bray.
