WWE Star Tells Stupid Fans To Shut Up About Cody Rhodes’ Story

A SmackDown star has called out fans for their treatment of The Rock and questioned who even cares about Cody Rhodes.

Ever since Cody Rhodes returned to WWE in 2022, he’s been targeting the WWE Championship that his legendary father failed to win. This quest saw Rhodes win the 2023 Royal Rumble, only to lose out to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania.

Despite the disappointment, Rhodes won the 2024 Royal Rumble and called out Reigns, hell-bent on finishing his story. However, with The Rock now inserted into the mix via a segment on SmackDown where Rhodes appeared to step aside for The Great One, fans are wondering whether he’ll ever “finish the story.”

Although many fans are calling out WWE for their treatment of Rhodes, and the surprise of The Rock, SmackDown star Grayson Waller has a different perspective.

Speaking in a new interview with Kenny McIntosh, Waller took aim at fans who called for The Rock to return, only to complain when he did.

“I have never in my life seen so many people who can barely read and write caring about a story. It absolutely boggles my mind. A few months ago everyone was [saying] Oh Rock come back! How long have they wanted The Rock vs. Roman Reigns?

People have been begging for it for years, then they get it and now they’re complaining about it. It just shows in a way how stupid these fans are. They want this, but [then they say] we don’t want it now, we want it here. It’s like just shut up. I was backstage for that. Maybe I don’t like The Rock, maybe I do, who knows?

But the energy in that arena that night is wild. As I stood there with Theory, and Theory has been someone who stood across The Rock, 150 million hit man Austin Theory. And that’s just a different vibe to it. So you have these people who are chronically online, who don’t know what things actually feel like because they don’t leave their house. Go to the arena, feel the energy in the arena that night and then come talk to me.”

Waller went on to question who even cares about the American Nightmare, pointing out that it was Rhodes who moved aside for The Rock to get involved.

“Who cares about Cody? Why do I care about Cody’s story? I’m trying to start Grayson Waller’s story. Cody has had so many opportunities. He just won the Royal Rumble! Imagine giving up your match. Everyone’s yelling at The Rock.

Cody is the one who stood down and went yes Mr. Rock, Sir, please have your match, Sir. Oh, yes anything, Sir. But I guess that’s what happens. Maybe we need to start talking about why Cody gave the match up rather than why The Rock stole it.”

Cody Rhodes Has Made His Decision

WWE is set to host a press conference on February 8th featuring The Rock, Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, and more to hype WrestleMania. Posting on social media, Rhodes teased some huge news writing that he’s “made his decision.”
