WWE Stopped Ex-Star Appearing On Love Island

Love Island USA

A former WWE star has claimed the company put a stop to them appearing on the hit reality show Love Island.

Jazmyn Nyx was unceremoniously written off NXT TV when she was the victim of a backstage attack. Her Fatal Influence teammates Jacy Jayne and Fallon Henley found her, but Jayne declared that it was time to cut the deadweight, and that was that for Nyx.

It then emerged that Nyx was leaving the company after the two sides failed to come to an agreement over a new deal. Nyx has cleared the air on what really happened, claiming WWE’s offer just wasn’t going to cut it for her financially.

Love Island Nixed For Jazmyn Nyx By WWE

Speaking on The Ariel Helwani Show, Nyx revealed that despite not having been featured on WWE television at the time, the company put a stop to her building her reputation by appearing on Love Island:

I wasn’t on TV yet and I thought that that would be a good route if I went and then came back and they kind of shut that down.

A couple of shows reached out after that when I was Jazmyn, and obviously I turned those down myself because I’m in a different position now, I’m on TV, this is my life, I want to succeed in what I’m doing now.

Since her departure, it emerged that Lainey Reid was responsible for the attack on Nyx, and she has since replaced her in the Fatal Influence group.
