WWE Star Written Off TV After Betrayal

WWE logo over The Family

One WWE star might not be returning to television anytime soon as they walked a familiar path following a recent double cross.

NXT is not a safe place to be for WWE stars. The parking lot at the Performance Center is notorious for its sneak attacks, and The Family have compromised several stars to a permanent end on the brand.

Tony D’Angelo’s first victim was Troy ‘Two Dimes’ Donovan, who was apparently whacked by The Family following his release from WWE. Damon Kemp fell into the same fate following his own release, as he was apparently driven away in the trunk of a car. Pretty Deadly was written off NXT in a similar fashion before their move up to the WWE main roster.

But now a member of The Family has been a victim.

Stacks Lorenzo Takes Out WWE Star

At NXT Stand & Deliver, The Family faced DarkState in a six-man tag team match. DarkState was able to pick up the win after Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo betrayed Tony D’Angelo, nailing his boss with a low blow.

On the April 22 edition of NXT, Tony D’Angelo told Adriana Rizzo she needed to find a safehouse to wait out the ensuing war but Lorenzo was making his own moves.

Lorenzo asked Luca Crusifino to meet him in the middle of the Nevada desert, and slowly it dawned on Crusifino why he’d been called out there, as Lorenzo was apparently going to take him out as well. However, this was not shown as the scene abruptly cut to black – perhaps in homage to the famous series finale of The Sopranos.

It remains to be seen if this is the end for Luca Crusifino in NXT or if he will avoid the same trap that the previous victims of The Family have fallen into.
