One of WWE’s biggest stars showed incredible guts and dedication by competing while sick.

Drew McIntyre had a big match at Crown Jewel when he wrestled Karrion Kross in a steel cage match. It was a hard-hitting and physical affair, but McIntyre managed to win by climbing over the cage wall and jumping down before Kross could escape via the cage door.

But this wasn’t just another day at the office for McIntyre. According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, McIntyre has seen sick with the flu for several days now.

Johnson went on to say that McIntyre was determined to wrestle this match no matter what, which is exactly what happened at Crown Jewel.

Wrestling is a difficult profession that requires a clear head and as healthy a body as possible. It takes a lot of guts to fight through illness and pain to keep going.

Other examples of wrestlers wrestling while sick or hurt include:

* The Undertaker wrestling in that HIAC match with a broken foot;

* Edge wrestling John Cena while suffering from food poisoning

* Bret Hart wrestling while sick in Puerto Rico and at SummerSlam 1993

* Kensuke Sasaki won his second IWGP World Title while suffering from a 39 °C (102.2 °F) fever
