WWE Star Wasn’t Surprised By Main Roster Call Up
A former NXT star is enjoying life on WWE SmackDown.
On the November 7 edition of SmackDown, Lash Legend shockingly attacked Alexa Bliss to align with Nia Jax. In the days after the show, it was confirmed that Legend was now an official part of the SmackDown roster.
Since then, Legend has been a regular presence alongside Jax and will compete inside WarGames for the first time at Survivor Series when she teams with the former champion, Becky Lynch, Asuka, and Kairi Sane.
Lash Legend Wasn’t Surprised To Join WWE SmackDown
Ahead of the show, Legend sat down with Denise Salcedo to discuss her WWE rise and hopes for the future. The star began by reflecting getting the call to attend SmackDown before being told she was about to become an official part of the roster.
“Yeah, so I got my notification that I was needed for TV, for SmackDown. I’ve been on multiple — I’ve had a lot of great opportunities on the main roster. I didn’t officially know until I got there but once I got there, it was, we’d love to officially have you on the SmackDown roster. I was just so happy smiling ear to ear. Since they told me, we’ve just been going and I’m like, alright, let’s do it.”
When asked if she was surprised by the call-up, Legend said that she saw it coming. The former college basketball star said that after making several appearances on the main roster in 2024 and into 2025, it felt like only a matter of time.
“Honestly, no. Honestly, the past year I’ve been knowing, I’ve had a feeling in my gut since we had the storyline around this time last year with the tag division. I just knew since then like, okay, surely I should be up there soon. I’ve just been being very optimistic, it wasn’t really a matter of if, it was a matter of when. I’ve just been staying optimistic like, okay, it’s going to happen. No, I wasn’t surprised, I was very happy though when it officially did happen.”
