Top WWE Star Wants Match With The Rock On One Condition

The Rock

One of WWE’s biggest names wants to face The Rock.

Although many thought his wrestling career was over, The Rock returned to WWE in early 2024 and worked the closest thing to a full-time schedule in the run-up to WrestleMania than he has for several years.

The Hollywood star initially appeared as a babyface but switched things up as fans stuck by their hero Cody Rhodes.

With speculation running wild around Rock’s next move, AJ Styles has thrown his name into contention.

Speaking to Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, Styles admitted he’d love to face The Rock, but only if he returned to being a babyface.

“Of course, I’m interested–but only if that means The Rock is turning babyface. I’m not interested in being a mediocre bad guy. I want to bring this to a whole new level.

I like to think I’m one of the few old school guys left. I look back and I’m so thankful I was able to pay off my house. That’s one of those things I hoped to do in my career, that I could do something I enjoy and provide for my family–and still have something left over for retirement. I’ve stuck with it long enough to take care of everyone who needed to be taken care of.

As bad, ugly, and mean as a heel is supposed to be, I’m going to be that guy. When I step into an arena, I want more boos than Dominik Mysterio. That’s what I’m after. That’s my job, and I want to do it better than anybody,”

The Rock Scheduled For WrestleMania Showdown

After returning to the ring at WrestleMania 40, it’s widely believed The Great One isn’t quite ready to hang up his boots just yet. How many matches he’s got left in the tank remains unclear, but WWE is reportedly planning another huge bout for WrestleMania 41.

According to a recent report, current plans call for The Rock to face Cody Rhodes in Las Vegas, but there’s no guarantee the American Nightmare will still be the Undisputed WWE Champion.
