One star who is not used to being cheered on by WWE crowds seems to have turned over a new leaf as they seek a fresh start on SmackDown.

At the 2024 WWE Draft, the rosters of Raw, SmackDown, and NXT were shaken up with Baron Corbin returning to the main roster after a successful spell on NXT.

Looking to reignite his WWE career, Corbin returned to NXT in June 2023 and found success as part of an unlikely tag team with Bron Breakker. Breakker and Corbin won the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic before going on to hold the NXT Tag Team Championship for two months.

Bron Breakker has been making waves on Raw since then and recently sent one departing WWE star to the hospital as part of a brutal backstage attack. Corbin’s time on WWE’s blue brand has got off to a slower start but he might now be finding his feet and could have the backing of fans, which would come as a big change for the star.

Baron Corbin Completes WWE Babyface Turn

On SmackDown in Glasgow, Scotland, Baron Corbin was seen in a backstage segment telling General Manager Nick Aldis he was looking forward to a fresh start on the show. Legado del Fantasma soon interrupted Corbin, however, and mocked him ahead of Santos Escobar’s match with Apollo Crews.

Escobar’s teammates Angel and Berto tried to interfere in the bout but were fended off by Baron Corbin, seemingly cementing his babyface turn. It wasn’t enough to help Crews, however, as Escobar still picked up the win.
