Every Pick From WWE Draft Night One

Cody Rhodes Triple H WWE Draft

The WWE Draft kicked off on SmackDown with many stars on the roster on the move as the landscape of Raw, SmackDown, and NXT changed.

Roman Reigns pulled out of the WWE Draft at the start of SmackDown as Paul Heyman revealed that The Tribal Chief has no plans to immediately return to the ring. Reigns had originally been listed alongside the rest of The Bloodline to be drafted and his decision to withdraw may have had a major effect on where the group was drafted.

Triple H and WWE Champion Cody Rhodes kicked off the draft with Rhodes revealing the overall number one pick in the draft and SmackDown’s first pick was Bianca Belair. SmackDown’s second pick in the first round went to former NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes. Triple H revealed Raw’s first two picks were Jey Uso and Seth Rollins who will stay on the red brand as a result. Jey Uso will challenge for Damian Priest’s World Heavyweight Championship at Backlash.

The Bloodline Made To Wait In WWE Draft

Randy Orton and Nia Jax were SmackDown’s second-round picks while Bron Breakker and Liv Morgan were drafted by Raw. LA Knight to SmackDown and Ricochet to Raw kicked off the third round before The Bloodline trio of Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, and Paul Heyman were eventually picked by the blue brand. Sheamus to Raw rounded out the third round.

Despite being the next contender for the WWE Championship, AJ Styles was not drafted until the fourth round by SmackDown. That was followed by Alpha Academy being picked by Raw, Andrade being drafted by SmackDown, and NXT’s Kiana James rounding out the TV picks as she will now be on the red brand.
