Another WWE star is set for a spell on the sidelines.

It’s been revealed that Cruz Del Toro has undergone surgery in Homewood, Alabama at the Birmingham Surgery Center. There’s no word on what the surgery was for.

The LWO star hasn’t wrestled since taking part in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royale on April 5th.

In a post on social media, Del Toro confirmed he was recovering from surgery.

A special thank you to Dr. McKeon and the team at Birmingham Surgery Center for their care, the surgery was a success.

Thank you for your messages of support and good wishes. I will be back soon and better than ever.

Mixed Week For WWE Injuries

The news of Cruz Del Toro’s surgery comes after Rhea Ripley was forced to vacate her Women’s World Championship on Raw. It’s believed the star will be out of action with a shoulder injury for around three months.

Meanwhile, on the same show, Sheamus wrestled for the first time in eight months after also overcoming a shoulder injury. The former World Champion celebrated his comeback with a win over Ivar.

Just over two years after suffering a broken neck, Big E recently admitted he may never be cleared to wrestle again. Big E revealed that while he’s pain-free in his day-to-day life, he’s currently not cleared to get back in the ring, and that clearance might never come.
