WWE Star To Leave Company In July

A former Tag Team Champion has confirmed they’re leaving WWE.

On May 3, it was reported that Shotzi had been informed that WWE wouldn’t be renewing her contract. The news came just 24 hours after the company released several stars from across the main roster and NXT.

Among those released were Braun Strowman, Shayna Baszler, Gigi Dolin, Cora Jade, and Dakota Kai.

Shotzi is said to have seen the writing on the wall and is already feeling optimistic about her future.

In a now-deleted post on social media, Shotzi confirmed she will be leaving the company, but she remains under contract until July.

Just to clarify, I still have a good amount of time on my contract. But come July I will be full time balls to the walls!

Shotzi’s first brush with WWE came in 2015 when she was selected to take part in the sixth season of Tough Enough, however, she was forced to withdraw after failing a medical. Despite the setback, Shotzi signed with WWE in 2019 and went on to win the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship while with the developmental brand.

The Californian star was promoted to the main roster in 2021, but moved back to NXT three years later.
