WWE Star To Face TNA Knockout Ahead Of WrestleMania 40

A surprising match-up has been confirmed for the lead-up to WWE WrestleMania.

It was recently announced that Shayna Baszler will be featured on Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport which takes place on April 4th. At the time of the announcement, her opponent remained a mystery.

However, it has now been revealed that Baszler will face TNA Wrestling star Masha Slamovich.

Josh Barnett commented on social media:

In a place like Josh Barnett’s: Bloodsport, when a name like Shayna Baszler is announced it’s like blood in the water of an ocean of nothing but sharks.

One voice stood out loudest and proudest of all. A voice with a tenor of authority from her accomplishments and tone of pure violence.

Masha Slamovich is a two-time TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champion, while Baszler is a former NXT Women’s Champion and former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion.

Multiple WWE Stars Expected To Appear At Bloodsport X

It’s been reported that Baszler won’t be the only WWE star to appear at the event, although to date, no one else has been announced. This isn’t the first time Josh Barnett has attempted to do a deal with WWE after it was revealed he approached the company about using former Superstar Jessamyn Duke several years ago.
