WWE Star Rules Themselves Out Of Roman Reigns Match

Roman Reigns WWE

One WWE star claims they won’t be Roman Reigns’ next challenger.

Roman Reigns hasn’t wrestled since defeating LA Knight at Crown Jewel. The win ensured Reigns’ record-breaking World Title run continued, leaving fans wondering who’s next on the star’s hit list.

During his reign as World Champion, the Tribal Chief has seen off the biggest stars WWE has to offer, often more than once.

Although Roman Reigns is scheduled to return to SmackDown on December 15th, he’s not expected to put his gold on the line until the Royal Rumble.

One of the names in the frame to face Reigns is Kevin Owens who recently moved to SmackDown. However, speaking in a new interview with James Williams, Owens said he’d got little interest in facing Reigns again.

“I’ll be honest — maybe a little too honest, I don’t think the fans would like that (a rematch), because I’ve had my shot at Roman Reigns many, many times.

For one reason or another, it didn’t work out. I almost don’t want to even try, because I don’t think that’s what fans want.

They’ve seen it. I’m here for the fans. I want people to enjoy what I’m doing, so, as much as I wish I could be champion and go for the title again, I don’t think it’s right. So, it’s not in my plans.”

Who Is Roman Reigns Going To Face At The Royal Rumble?

While he might not be facing Kevin Owens, Roman Reigns could be in line for a match with another recent SmackDown signing. Randy Orton returned to WWE at Survivor Series, before heading to Raw and SmackDown.

After signing his new deal with the blue brand, Orton sent a message to Reigns via Paul Heyman. Although it’s not been confirmed, it’s been reported that Roman Reigns could face Orton and the Royal Rumble. The pair have an extensive history, and it was an attack from The Bloodline that put Orton on the shelf in storyline back in My 2022.
