WWE Star Comments On Return – “I Need Some Meat”
Shinsuke Nakamura had last been seen in a WWE ring on TV back in November 2022 but on SmackDown in Lincoln, Nebraska that all changed.
Nakamura had been missing from WWE TV but had been competing on live events in recent months but his most high-profile outing came in his native Japan. Nakamura competed in The Great Muta’s final match (as that character) on New Year’s Day in Tokyo, three months before Muta was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
On the 14th of April edition of SmackDown, Nakamura was back on WWE television when he took on Madcap Moss. The 2018 Royal Rumble winner picked up a big win and has his sights set on a whole lot more.
Speaking in a WWE Digital Exclusive, Shinsuke Nakamura discussed his return to the company and says he’s setting his sights on the world championship:
“I’m glad to be back. I’ve been to Japan, so I had a great victory against Great Muta. That was a historic [match]. Then I recharged, I rebooted.
“I need some meat. I need a great opponent. Also, I aim for [the] world title.”
Also on SmackDown, Solo Sikoa picked up a big win over Matt Riddle, Damian Priest defeated Santos Escobar, and Xavier Woods defeated a star that the company might have big plans for over the summer.
