WWE Star Would Love To Resume Rivalry With Mercedes Mone

Mercedes Mone

One WWE Superstar wants to restart their rivalry with Mercedes Mone.

At WrestleMania 37 Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks made history by becoming the first two African American women to headline the spectacular. The match also served as the coronation of Belair as she became SmackDown Women’s Champion — winning championship gold for the first time in WWE.

While Belair has remained one of the biggest stars in the company, Banks left WWE in May 2022, later resuming her career as Mercedes Mone with NJPW. After recovering from a broken ankle, Mone is expected to debut with AEW in the coming days.

Appearing on the Gorilla Position podcast, Belair reflected on the match in 2021 after being asked about Mone potentially returning to WWE one day.

“I haven’t had this conversation with her. I don’t know what she wants and what she wants to do. I just want what’s best for her and what she wants to do with her. I’m no one to tell someone what they should do. I will say that we created some magic in the ring at WrestleMania 37.

I think there was so much more magic to be made, not only with us inside the ring, but with me being champion at the time, and the tag team champions, I saw so much representation that was on the verge of happening, so much greatness that was going to happen.

The fact that it was all halted at that point, I would love for it to pick back up one day and take off. We didn’t even touch the tip of the iceberg with what could be done,”

AEW Star Drops Mercedes Mone Hint

Mercedes Mone’s first opponent in AEW might have just been revealed. On the March 2nd episode of Collision, Serena Deeb cut a promo talking up her ability and undefeated record since returning to AEW before referring to herself as “The Final Boss.” A reference many believe is linked to Mone.

Mone is expected to make her AEW debut on Dynamite “Big Business” on March 13th.
