WWE Star Removed From Company Roster
A big-name star has now left WWE.
Back in July, it was reported that Bobby Lashley and MVP were set to leave WWE in search of new opportunities. A further report noted that the company didn’t have any plans for MVP, and Lashley was offered a new deal but turned it down.
This led to claims that Bobby Lashley would eventually appear in AEW.
The former World Champion has now been moved to the alumni section on WWE.com, all but confirming his departure from the company.
Bobby Lashley Confirms New Post-WWE Challenge
Back in October 2023, Bobby Lashley revealed he had an eye on competing in boxing when looking for opportunities outside of wrestling.
As it turns out that wasn’t just idle talk as the man himself recently revealed he’s signed to fight an unnamed opponent in Las Vegas.
“I love to be able to push myself to do things that are ridiculous. I set goals for myself every day. What can I do? How far can I push myself? How much can I do? I want to run a marathon. I’m going to try to do that pretty soon.”
“I’ll do jiu-jitsu, I’m going to try and win a world championship in jiu-jitsu. I’m going to do a boxing match. We’ve already talked about this boxing match. I might have an opportunity to do it. I’m boxing somebody in Vegas. There is an opponent.”
Although Lashley has never competed in boxing competitively, he does have extensive experience in MMA.
The former WWE Champion has a record of 17 fights with 15 wins with 2 defeats across stints with Bellator and Strikeforce among others. His most recent fight took place in October 2016 when he defeated Josh Appelt via submission at Bellator 162.
