WWE Star Wants To Be More Hated Than Dominik Mysterio

Dominik Mysterio

A big-name WWE star is aiming for Dominik Mysterio-level reactions.

Since turning heel and joining the Judgment Day, Dominik Mysterio’s career has gone from strength to strength. This has seen the third generation receive almost comically loud boos whenever he tries to cut a promo or gets involved in-ring.

Interestingly, it seems Mysterio’s reactions have now become the yardstick for other wrestlers in the company — even former World Champions.

Speaking to Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, AJ Styles said he’s prepared to be as nasty as he needs to be to get more boos than the Judgment Day star.

“I like to think I’m one of the few old school guys left. I look back and I’m so thankful I was able to pay off my house. That’s one of those things I hoped to do in my career, that I could do something I enjoy and provide for my family–and still have something left over for retirement. I’ve stuck with it long enough to take care of everyone who needed to be taken care of.

As bad, ugly, and mean as a heel is supposed to be, I’m going to be that guy. When I step into an arena, I want more boos than Dominik Mysterio. That’s what I’m after. That’s my job, and I want to do it better than anybody,”

During the same interview, AJ Styles also expressed his desire to face The Rock.

Dominik Mysterio To Make Quicker Than Expected Return

Although he’s been out of the ring since mid-April, it’s been reported that Dominik Mysterio will soon be back in action.

Mysterio suffered an elbow injury in what was described as a freak accident during a match with Andrade on Raw, which led to him being pulled from a UK tour. However, despite suggestions he would require surgery, Mysterio is expected to be back in action within two months.
