WWE Star Mocks GUNTHER After Historic Raw Win
Not everyone in WWE is thrilled that GUNTHER is set to make history.
Following The Ring General defeating Chad Gable in the main event of the September 4th episode of Raw, a new record will be set for the longest singular reign with the Intercontinental Championship.
While many believe that the Imperium member deserves the accolade due to his in-ring work and ability to elevate the title, one Superstar has a different point of view.
Sheamus took to social media to comment on the lengthy reign, calling the achievement “A stain on the legacy” of previous record holder The Honky Tonk Man and posting a humorous image stating that no one will remember this in 35 years time:

Sheamus & GUNTHER Went To War In WWE
The Celtic Warrior has made it clear on multiple occasions that he wants to become Intercontinental Champion, as that is the only title in WWE that has alluded him throughout his career. Sheamus got the first opportunity at Clash at the Castle in Cardiff, where the Irishman received a hero’s welcome and put on a five-star performance that received a standing ovation inside the Principality Stadium after the defeat.
The former World Champion would get another opportunity to dethrone The Ring General at WrestleMania 39, however this time the challenge would be even greater as the match was a Triple Threat that also featured Drew McIntyre. History would once again repeat itself as the Intercontinental Champion was victorious inside SoFi Stadium, with the match once again being praised as one of the best bouts on the card and also receiving the prestigious five-star accolade.
