Which WWE Star Is Inspired By It’s Always Sunny Oddball
Chad Gable has been through many trials and tribulations in WWE but now he has found himself and he has a star from It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia to thank.
Chad Gable’s athletic prowess has never been in doubt with the star a former Olympic wrestler having competed at the London Games in 2012. He has found success in WWE as a three-time WWE Tag Team Champion but in more recent times, it’s Gable’s personality that has come to the fore.
Gable is the mastermind behind Alpha Academy which includes Otis, Maxxine Dupri, and Akira Tozawa with the group’s dynamic leading to fans loving them. And it seems Gable has been taking inspiration from an unlikely source.
WWE’s Chad Gable Inspired By Dennis Reynolds
Speaking to TV Insider, Chad Gable has revealed that a lot of his character work comes courtesy of the unhinged Dennis Reynolds:
For those who don’t know, I steal a lot of stuff from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Dennis Reynolds specifically aligned up perfectly with my master’s degree character, and I couldn’t help but steal some stuff. I’m so obsessed with the show.
I feel I know his character as much as he does. So it does allow me to do some improvisation when I need to. I remember the spelling bee stuff I did. Otis spelled one of the words wrong by accident. That stuff there is so much hilarity to what we do.
Chad Gable also revealed how Randy Orton has helped him through some of the tougher times of his WWE career. Gable has thrown his hat back in the ring along with several other stars to be the one to challenge Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 40. The Ring General would be wise to at least consider Gable’s challenge…because of the implication.
