WWE Star Injured During TNA Tapings As Match Abandoned

A TNA match has been stopped after a WWE star appeared to suffer a serious injury.

The partnership between WWE and TNA looks to have turned sour recently, with several TNA stars expressing their unhappiness publicly. This comes amid a backdrop of Trick Williams continuing to be the TNA World Champion, and things have likely only got worse after Victory Road.

Ash By Elegance was forced to relinquish the TNA Knockouts Title as her wrestling future has been put in serious doubt. As a result, NXT’s Kelani Jordan battled Lei Ying Lee for the vacant title, with Jordan picking up the victory, meaning another TNA title is now held by a WWE-contracted star.

Now there’s some bad news for WWE as well.

WWE Star Suffers Serious Leg Injury

At the recent TNA tapings held in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, Moose did battle with Ridge Holland. However, the match ended up being called off after Holland suffered what appeared to be a serious leg injury. Holland was helped from the ring by officials as well as Moose.

Moose was awarded the match due to the referee’s stoppage. It remains to be seen if Holland will be forced to miss substantial time from the ring as a result of the injury.

During his time in WWE, Ridge Holland is sadly best known for his part in the injury that appeared to end the career of Big E. Holland delivered the overhead suplex to Big E that caused the serious neck injury that has kept him out of the ring for over three years.
