WWE Star Didn’t Want Forced Character Change
Carmella has opened up about her original vision for her character shift in 2020 and revealed she didn’t want to change in the first place.
In 2020, Carmella became ‘untouchable’ in WWE with a short-lived character shift that saw her gain a sommelier and turn her back on her previous fun-loving ways.
Taking to social media, Carmella responded to a fan who had noted it was a shame that the WWE star apparently did not like the shift in direction, noting that it wasn’t that she didn’t like her new gimmick, she just didn’t want to change in the first place:
It’s not that I didn’t like it. I just didn’t want a new character. And it didn’t pan out the way it originally started so it felt like I wasn’t doing the character justice. When I was told I needed a new direction I went all in and pitched this entire character. Going to find the original video I had made and post it here for yall.

Carmella then posted a video that she says gives her original vision for her “untouchable” character, including the time-honoured tradition of blaming the fans for her lack of success.

Carmella has recently revealed the medical issue that is keeping her out of the ring following her giving birth to her and Corey Graves’ first child together in November 2023.
