WWE Star Created Finisher By Accident
WWE Superstar Trick Williams has admitted that he discovered his finishing move by accident.
Fan favourite Williams is set to defend his NXT Championship against Ethan Page at NXT Halloween Havoc on 27th October in a much anticipated Devil’s Playground match.
The 30 year-old is likely to need his devastating finishing move ‘The Trick Shot’ to overcome his experienced opponent but it is only by a freak chance that he will have the finisher in his arsenal.
During a recent appearance on Fox Sports’ podcast ‘The Happy Hour‘, Williams opened up about the accidental discovery of the move during a bout with Ilja Dragunov:
“I would say it was actually accidental.
It was Ilja Dragunov-Trick Williams 2. It was just a fight. It was a fight. He’s hitting me in the face, he’s hitting me in the mouth. He’s trying to inflict so much pain.
At this point, I’m like, “I’m going to hurt you. Whatever happens, happens.’ The first thing that came to my mind is, ‘I’m going to put my knee right in the middle of his forehead.’ I went for it full speed. He hit a backflip, his face was bleeding, and the crowd was going crazy.
I was like, ‘This right here should be my new finish.’ I was doing the spinning Trick kick before, but in that moment with Ilja Dragunov, when it came down to it and I want to hurt you and inflict as much pain as possible. Putting my knee right in the middle of your forehead seems like a pretty good idea.”
WWE Hall Of Famer Joins Forces With Trick Williams
Trick Williams recently released a diss track in the build up to the much anticipated rematch with Ethan Page at Halloween Havoc, with the music video featuring a surprising WWE Hall Of Famer.
Former WWE Tag Team Champion D-Von Dudley was separated from long-term Dudley Boyz partner Bubba Ray Dudley in the 2002 WWE Draft, switching to the character of Reverend D-Von in a short lived stint that is likely best remembered for launching the main roster career of Batista.
