WWE Star Begins Rehab Following Surgery
A WWE star is beginning their journey back to the ring.
At Backlash: France, Asuka and Kairi Sane lost the Women’s Tag Team Titles to Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill, ending a run that began back in January.
Following the event, Asuka confirmed she was taking a break to deal with a long-standing knee injury, and she later underwent surgery. In an update, the star said the surgery lasted around an hour and a half and she was released from the hospital the day after the procedure.
In a new video, Asuka can be seen beginning her rehabilitation, performing several exercises after removing her knee brace. The translated caption to the clip reads:
“I had knee surgery the other day. The surgery was a great success, and my recovery is going well. Rehabilitation will continue until recovery.”
Charlotte Flair Closing On WWE Comeback
Meanwhile, Charlotte Flair is closer than ever to a comeback of her own after undergoing knee surgery.
Back in December during a match with Asuka on SmackDown, Flair suffered a torn ACL, MCL, and meniscus and quickly underwent surgery to repair the extensive damage. In the latest update on her recovery, Flair revealed she had passed her latest set of targets as she steps up training for her return.
At the time it was reported Flair was expected to be out for nine months, but she’s determined to make a mockery of that estimate.
During her absence, Flair signed a new contract that will keep her with WWE for “several years.” The deal is said to be the biggest ever signed by a female talent in company history.
