WWE Star Arrested On NXT Television

The 23rd of May edition of NXT television did not go as planned for one WWE star with Tony D’Angelo placed under arrest during the show.

Tony D’Angelo and Channing ‘Stacks’ Lorenzo have been in the hunt for the NXT Tag Team Championship in recent weeks and were surely hoping they’d be in line for a title match at NXT Battleground on the 28th of May. However, that plan hit a massive roadblock when Tony D’Angelo was taken in for questioning by police.

The Don of NXT has not been shy about taking things to extremes during his time on the brand. D’Angelo and Lorenzo sent their former teammate Troy ‘Two Dimes’ Donovan to sleep with the fishes – in reality, Donovan was released by WWE and now competes in AEW as Cole Karter – while helping Pretty Deadly meet a similar fate before their move to the main roster as part of the WWE Draft.

Tony D’Angelo denied all involvement in his alleged crimes but considering the police may have reviewed previous television shows where this happened and he admitted to his part, he was placed under arrest while wondering if he had a “rat” in the family.

Stacks Lorenzo was seen on the show helping The Creed Brothers with their numbers disadvantage against Gallus and it is the Creeds who will face Mark Coffey and Wolfgang for the NXT Tag Team Championship at Battleground.
