WWE Star Pulled From Multiple Appearances After Sexual Misconduct Allegations
A WWE star was pulled from multiple appearances during WrestleMania weekend.
After WWE, Vince McMahon, and John Laurinaitis were named in a lawsuit alleging sex trafficking and sexual assault the culture within the sports entertainment giant has been under the microscope.
As well as the allegations outlined in the lawsuit filed by former WWE employee Janel Grant, a new light has been cast on several other instances of alleged misconduct.
Speaking in a recent interview with NewsNation, Ronda Rousey recounted an incident from her time with the company.
I was standing there and this guy I was barely an acquaintance with grabs the string of my sweatpants as I’m walking by…and nobody reacts as if this is abnormal, and he’s going down the hall and I’m like ‘what the f*ck is that? Why are you grabbing the string of my sweatpants? If my husband was standing there next to me, would you feel comfortable walking up to me and grabbing the string of my sweatpants?’
All the guys around me were like, this is part of the day. And if this guy was coming up to me and doing this kind of stuff to me when there are other people around, what’s happening to these other girls when I’m not in the hallway?
Although there’s been no official comment from WWE, a new report from Fightful Select has revealed that Gulak was pulled from “several appearances” across WrestleMania weekend. This included being removed from his seat at the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony when a producer noticed he was in close proximity to someone in Rousey’s close circle of friends.
Gulak wasn’t listed on internal rundowns for the show and wasn’t backstage for NXT on April 9th. The report adds there are currently “no creative plans” for Gulak.
The report comes after Drew Gulak was removed from the No Quarter Catch Crew’s titantron.
WWE Figures Expect Drew Gulak To Be Fired
After news of the incident broke it was reported that people within WWE expected Drew Gulak to be fired. However, at press time he remains with the company.
In a post on social media, Gulak denied any wrongdoing and described the incident as an accident.
