WWE Star Issues Apology After Shock On-Air Reaction
One WWE star has been forced to apologise after they lost control during a live broadcast.
At NXT Halloween Havoc, Ricky Saints put his NXT Championship on the line against Trick Williams. Williams lost his TNA World Championship to Mike Santana at Bound For Glory, and his bad luck continued as Saints picked up the win to retain his gold.
While Ricky Saints’ win delighted WWE fans, one man who was anything but happy was WWE Hall of Famer Booker T, who threw his headset off in disgust at the result.
Booker T Apologises To WWE Fans
Speaking on his Hall of Fame Podcast, Booker T apologised for his act of unprofessionalism and noted that he was upset that Williams lost:
I wanna apologise to the NXT Universe for throwing my headset at the end of the Ricky Saints Trick Williams match. I was a little upset, I was backing my boy Trick Williams, but Ricky Saints he showed up and went out there and did his job, even though he had the little Xerxes veil going.
I just wanted to apologise because that got picked up in the news. Look here, we’ve all got our favourites, it’s just part of the game.
Ricky Saints and Trick Williams will clash in a Last Man Standing match for the title after they were involved in a brawl that lasted for most of the October 28th edition of NXT.
