WWE Star Always Hated The Sight Of John Cena

Not everyone was a fan of John Cena.

On December 13, John Cena will wrestle his final match, and he’s adamant that it’s the last time fans will see him in a WWE ring. While the strength of wrestling retirements has traditionally depended on the money available, Cena has vowed to be different.

This means that after his match with Gunther at Saturday Night’s Main Event and countless matches against the very best WWE has ever seen, Cena will hang up his boots.

Gunther Has No Love For John Cena

During a new interview with ESPN, Gunther explained that he’s got no real connection with Cena, as others continue to share their memories of working with the star. In fact, while watching WWE on television, Gunther came to dislike everything Cena stood for.

“I can only speak for myself. I haven’t really — I’ve shook hands with him twice. I haven’t had any other interactions with him otherwise.

I just remember when I started wrestling, 20 years ago now, I remember that I hated the guy in jorts on TV week by week and I always thought it doesn’t belong in the ring. I’m a big purist and traditionalist. John Cena is definitely the greatest sports entertainer of all time, but I’m the greatest pro wrestler right now. That’s going to be the conflict,”
